Volta Regional Second Division league to resume

Ho, (V/R) Oct. 24 GNA - The Volta Regional Second Division League would commence on Sunday, October 31 at all the league centres, according to a press release signed by Mr Francis Dogbatse, Chairman of the Regional Football Association (RFA).

He ahs therefore called on all participating clubs are to attend a meeting scheduled for Friday, October 29, at 0900 hours without fail at the RFA's Secretariat to discuss related issues pertaining to the commencement of the league.

Clubs which have registered to compete in the league have been grouped into five zones. They are:

Southern Zone 'A'- Three Town Tigers, Shooting Stars FC, Forest Sacree and Tongu Fruits.

Southern Zone 'B'- Abaanata A FC, Weavers FC, Akatsi FC and Powerful Arrows.

Central Zone 'A'- AF Aristocrat FC, Star Brothers FC, Effico FC and Volta Warriors.

Central Zone 'B'- Great Barons FC, Golden Eyes FC, Agotime United Veranda FC and Home Stars.

Northern Zone - Temple Stars FC, Islamic Stars FC, Desert Warriors and Leopard Stars FC.

Fixtures for the First Week are as follows:

Southern Zone 'A'- Three Towns Tigers vrs Shooting Stars at Denu while Tongu Fruits play Forest Sacree at Dabala.

Southern Zone 'B'- Abaanata FC would host Akatsi FC at Aflao while Powerful Arrows take on Weavers at Mafi-Kumase.

Central Zone 'A'- AF Aristocrat face Effico Warriors at Ho-Depot Park while Star Brothers engages Volta Warriors at Torgome.

Central Zone 'B'- Gt. Barons encounter Golden Eyes at the Ho-Takla park with Agotime United playing Home Stars at the Kpetoe Park.

Northern Zone- Temple clash with Leopard Stars at the Jasikan while Islamic Stars embattles Desert Warriors at Hohoe.
