Abdul Majeed Waris' good form for French side Lorient has been rewarded with the Player of the Month of November prize by fans of the club.

Following a frustrating 13-match scoreless run, the Ghanaian netted in back-to-back games in November, going on to add two more in the current month.

The 25-year-old found the back of the net in the 3-3 draw at Metz on November 26, before fetching the winner in a 2-1 triumph over Rennes three days later.

He struck 11 times in 21 Ligue 1 outings for Les Merlus last season.

Lorient acquired the former Valencienne forward on a three-year deal worth €5 million from Turkish side Trabzonspor in the summer of last year.

During his loan spell at Valencienne from Russian outfit Spartak Moscow, the former Right to Dream Academy trainee notched nine goals in 16 league appearances.

In 2013, he was adjudged as best player and top scorer of the Swedish topflight after hitting 23 goals in 29 games for Hacken.
