The Black Stars opened their AFCON campaign with a disappointing 2-2 draw against the Squirrels of Benin on Tuesday.
Mickael Pote gave Benin a shock lead after two minutes but Black Stars captain Andre Ayew restored parity.
Jordan Ayew put Ghana in the front seat with a well-taken shot but Benin drew parity with a shot from Pote after John Boye had been given a second yellow for time wasting.
The result leaves Ghana third on the Group F table with just point, same as Benin.
Four-time winners Ghana return to action against Cameroon on Saturday evening while Benin face Guinea-Bissau in the day's late game.
