Wawase Zone emerged soccer champions

Twifo Nyinase, (C/R) March 26, GNA - Wawase Zone beat Twifo Hemang Zone 4-3 on penalties to lift the soccer championship trophy at the on-going 15th annual Twifo-Hemang-Lower-Denkyira District Basic Schools Sports Festival at Twifo Nyinase.

Ms Regina Longdon, the District Director of Education presented the soccer trophy to the Wawase Zone after they had played a goalless drawn game with Hemang Zone at the end of the full time. Twifo Praso Zone lifted the Table Tennis trophy when they beat Twifo Agona 2-0 in the finals while in the Girls division, Twifo Praso Zone also beat Twifo Nyinase 2-0 in the finals.

In the volleyball competition, Twifo Agona Zone beat Twifo Wamaso Zone 2-1 in the finals while Twifo Wamaso Zone also beat Twifo Praso Zone 2-0 in the Girls finals.

Twifo Nuamakrom Zone beat Twifo Agona Zone 12-2 to lift the netball trophy in the finals.
