Kudjoe Fianoo, Cheif Executive of AshantiGold says the club is unperturbed by their one year ban from participating in the FA Cup.

AshGold has been punished with a one-year ban for boycotting their quarter finals meeting with Kotoko after the FA Cup Committee rescheduled the match from Kumasi to Accra two days before the encounter.

Fianoo told GNA Sports that " We are unperturbed by the one year's ban. We are rather concerned about getting the right things done".

The former Administrative Manager of the Ghana League Clubs Association of Ghana (GHALCA) said " We are simply confused as to what exactly is happening.

"This is because we cannot fantom how the Disciplinary Committee can be a judge in their own court. First of all we were fined and declared losers for not showing up for the match.

"Now we are getting punished for the same offence by the same committee which we find completely bizarre and unacceptable."

The Miners who however, automatically qualifies to play in the competition after serving the ban are also to refund to the Ghana Football Association (GFA) an amount of 1,040 cedis paid by the GFA to the Ghana Police Service in accordance with article 14(2) of the Association's regulations.

AshGold boycotted the match after the FA Cup committee pushed the match venue to Accra, two days before the encounter as a result of a home ban slapped on Kotoko for misconduct.

The club is further fined 250 cedis in accordance with article 23(3b) of the GFA regulation for failing to attend the pre-match meeting on April 13.

Earlier decision by the Disciplinary Committee declared AshGold losers, with Kotoko progressing to the last four with city rivals, King Faisal as their next opponent.
