West African Football Academy goalkeeper Felix Annan says his side is content with the 1-1 draw they played with Bechem United in the FCP Premier League over the weekend
Annan, who is on loan from Asante Kotoko, told the press that they performed abysmally in the first half but raised their game in the second half, which aided them to secure the stalemate, adding that it was a tough game.
"We psyched ourselves that even a draw would be a win for us. The league is young and if you start getting away draws, it will keep you at a better place on the log. It was a tough game but we are glad we had a draw. That is football; you need to have character to change things in your favour. They scored in the first half but we knew we could also score in the second half.”
WAFA takes on Liberty Professionals in a midweek clash at the Sogakope Park, and Annan told the press that the draw has given them much confidence ahead of that game.
"The draw has given us a lot of confidence ahead of Wednesday’s game.’’
