Tamale, Nov. 17, GNA - Papa Omar Thiam, head coach of Real Tamale United (RTU) on Friday vowed to overcome visiting Accra Hearts of Oak at the Kaladan Park on Sunday when the two clubs clash in the One Touch Premier League encounter.

He said everything would be done to ensure that RTU did not remain at the bottom of the league table.

Coach Thiam said, "We would not spare any team that comes here to play us and Hearts is no exception. By God's Grace we would crab the three maximum points to ensure a comfortable position on the league table."

The newly-signed on coach of RTU told the GNA Sports in an interview in Tamale on Friday that the team's performance during the beginning of the league was very poor and attributed the problem to their "Home away from Home" matches and expressed the hope that RTU would not loose any match at home soil.

He, however, appealed to the supporters and sympathizers of the team to come to the stadium in their numbers to support RTU to victory on Sunday while advising against any form of crowd violence during the match.

Meanwhile both supporters of Real Tamale United and the Accra Hearts of Oak in the Tamale Metropolis are in an enthusiastic mood to welcome the "Never Say Die Boys", in the titanic encounter against the "Pride of the North" on Sunday.

Most of the supporters are once again making money from the sale of Hearts and RTU paraphernalia in parts of the Metropolis in preparation for the big soccer encounter between the two clubs in the GT league. Supporters from both teams that the GNA Sports interacted with, expressed optimism about their teams winning the day with RTU supporters having the greatest hope with the aim of climbing further on the GT league table. 17 Nov. 06
