West Ham boss Sam Allardyce is believed to be keeping tabs on Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari. Muntari, 29, has lost his automatic place under new coach Clarence Seedorf and is up for grabs at Milan following the sacking of Massimiliano Allegri in January.

With West Ham looking to strengthen in midfield after an inconsistent season, manager Sam Allardyce has seemingly identified Muntari as a good option for the next transfer window, especially as he may be available on the cheap.

A European football insider told footballdirectnews that Milan could be willing to part with Muntari for around £4million, with his contract set to expire at the end of next season.

Hull City were also linked with the player back in January, and may yet resurrect their interest when the transfer window re-opens for the summer, making a move back to England looks likely for the ex-Pompey star.

Muntari had one season in the Premier League with Portsmouth and helped them win the FA Cup six years ago before leaving Fratton Park in a £12.7m switch to Inter in July 2008.
