Chelsea manager, Jose Mourinho, has offered to rest Chelsea's England players for the rest of the season to help them prepare for the World Cup. It will also prevent any repeat of Wayne Rooney's horror injury which has stunned the football world.
It is unclear whether he will make a similar offer to Ghana
Mourinho's side have already won the title so he has offered to give Joe Cole, John Terry and Frank Lampard the last two games off.
Shaun Wright-Phillips, on the other hand, will be hoping to get the chance to play in at least one of Chelsea's remaining fixtures to prove that he is fit to go to Germany.
Mourinho said: "I'm ready to help England if they think it is a help. I'm ready to let them finish for the season now, to have one more week to rest or maybe have a holiday or go to some paradise.
"My relationship with Sven-Goran Eriksson is very good. I said to him: 'If you want my players to finish after we've played Manchester United, they will finish then'. I gave him that choice."
It is unclear whether Mourinho will make a similar offer to Ghana, Ivory Coast, France, Portugal and a host of other countries hoping their Chelsea players will be fit for the tournament.
