Windy Professionals shock Ebusua Dwarfs

Cape Coast, Aug 13, GNA - Supporters of Cape Coast Ebusua Dwarfs went home disappointed when their idol club were shocked with a 2-0 defeat by visiting Winneba Windy Professionals in their Division One League match played at the Robert Mensah Stadium, Cape Coast on Wednesday. The game from the beginning showed indications as if Dwarfs were destined to loose the match, after threw away an early penalty awarded them in the 25th minute.

After referee Frederick Bassaw signaled the two sides into action, it was Windy Professionals who lost 3-1 to Dwarfs in the fist round of the league, who tried to make amends as they matched Dwarfs squarely until the end of the first half. Both teams made changes in the second half but it was Windy Professionals who benefited from the changes as they forced Dwarfs to play in their own half before centre half, Owusu Afriyie scored the opener in the 65th minute.

Windy Professionals continued to dominate the game and increased their goal tally to two through their captain Godwin Edem in the 85th minute. Results of other league matches were Sekondi Eleven Wise beat SAMARTEX 2-0 with Feyenoored crushing Metro Stars 5-1.
