Former Black Stars winger Laryea Kingston has confirmed that a move to the American USL Professional League is possible as he is in advanced talks with Phoenix FC.
Laryea will be given a released letter by the Ghana Football Association when the league ends after choosing to cancel his contract with Accra Hearts of Oak where he had a torrid time.
“It is true I am in talks with Phoenix FC. I will be meeting their officials on June 20 and if everything goes on well I will sign and play for them,” Laryea told 90 Minutes.
Phoenix FC are making their maiden appearance in the USL professional division and the team have so far brought in experienced players including former Ghana international midfielder Anthony Obodai of Ajax fame to the Sun Devil Soccer Stadium to aid their campaign.
The former Hearts of Middlothian, Terek Grozny and Vittese Arnheim player has had a difficult return to local football because of his disciplinary records.
Currently, he is in London enjoying his summer holidays.
