Head coach of Great Olympics, Yaw Acheampong says a win over Hearts of Oak will serve as a birthday gift for the Wonder club of Ghana football.

Great Olympics last Tuesday turned 61 years since the formation of the club and on Sunday they will be facing a stern test at home against their city rivals, Hearts of Oak at the Accra sports stadium which the clash between the two sides will headline the week’s First Capital Plus Bank Premier League games.

Olympics after the return of experience trio of Daniel Quaye, Richard Kingston and Godwin Attram and the appointment of Coach Yaw Acheampong has seen the Accra based club picking some vital points in the ongoing league.

However head trainer of Great Olympics, Yaw Acheampong has stated that a win over Hearts of Oak in the Accra derby will serve as a birthday gift for the club.

“There would be no better birthday present for the Olympics family than a victory over Hearts of Oak,” he told Graphic sports.

He added – “Despite the current form of Hearts of Oak, we are not intimidated because I have better players than Hearts”.
