Yegoala FC have swelled their financial base ahead of the start of the new Division One League after signing on drink makers, Radico Khaitan Limited as its major sponsors.
The GHC 10,000.00 five-month sponsorship deal was signed in Kumasi on Saturday and it will run from December 2011 to April 2012.
Vinod Srivastav, West African manager of Radico, producers of the famous 8 PM Whiskey brand is excited with association with the team owned by ex-Ghana striker, Tony Yeboah and believes grassroots football would be better served through their partnership.
"This partnership is significant for Ghana football as a whole as early talent spotting happens majorly at the town and village level where the first division and second division teams operate and pick players from.
"Mr. Tony Yeboah and his team has been very seriously working on identifying and cultivating grass root football talent, a talent that could never have come up had it not been for their efforts. This sponsorship will support them in their noble endevour," Vinod said on Saturday after signing the agreement.
Yegoala FC have two major competitions lined up this season as they challenge for promotion to the premier league and play in the FA Cup.
