Fenerbahce thrashed arch-rivals Galatasaray 4-0 on Saturday to kock them off top spot in the Turkish championship.
The result puts Fenerbahce level with Galatasaray on 74 points with three games remaining.
Fenerbahce's Ghana captain Stephen Appiah fired the first goal after 12 minutes before Brazilian Fabio Luciano added a second in the 20th.
Galatasaray's hopes of making a comeback were dashed as they were reduced to 10 men just after the break when Alioum Saidou was shown a red card.
Fenerbahce took advantage when Alex de Souza and Nicolas Anelka sealed a comfortable victory with goals in the 70th and 78th minutes respectively.
