I will play against Ghana -Totti

Italy star Francesco Totti says he feels ready for The Azzurri's first game of the World Cup finals after playing 90 minutes for the first time since February.

The Roma talisman became a major doubt for the finals after breaking his ankle whilst playing for The Giallorossi, but after a long recuperation period, he signalled his return to action as a substitute in the Coppa Italia final against Internazionale in May.

Totti's first full game came on Wednesday, as Italy drew 1-1 with fellow World Cup finalists Switzerland in Geneva, and the playmaker reported no ill effects to give a boost to coach Marcelo Lippi.

The Azzurri open their campaign against Ghana on June 12, and Totti insists he feels ready to appear against the African nation.

"I'm happy, it went as I expected," said Totti.

"Surely, I'm not as fit as I was three months ago, but I'm at 60 percent.

"I'd line up myself with Ghana."

Totti also voiced his pleasure that the Swiss fixture provided a vigorous work-out for Lippi's side, as they attempt to avert their minds from the scandal engulfing Italian football.

"This has been an important test, it has been a hard match and it has been what I was looking for," Totti added. "I'm happy for what I did."
