Indian club Churchill Brothers is trying to rope in Edward Ansah as the team?s coach this season. Ansah, the former Ghanaian international custodian, is now busy with the Ghana national team as its goal-keeping coach in the Germany World Cup.

Ansah had represented Churchill Brothers in five National Football League editions since its inception in 1996.

Churchill president Joaquim Alemao told Newsline over phone: ?We are negotiating with three coaches now. One is from Morocco. Another is our previous Austrian coach George Kottan. And Ansah is the third one. Considering the depth of the talks with these three coaches, Ansah?s chances appear bright. He himself has a soft corner for our team since he?s donned the Churchill shirt for five seasons. The deal is expected to be finalised within the next two weeks.?

The local league in Goa is likely to start in September. The Goan club has qualified for the elite NFL in the new season.

The side this time round comprises a number of young players. The administration is looking to rope in two to three foreigners for the Federation Cup and the NFL. It was learnt that a reputed soft drinks brand wants to sponsor the outfit.
