Ayew's Goal Sends Fans To Hospital

Former Black Stars striker Kwame Ayew scored a spectacular and dramatic away winning goal which saw his club Victorial Setubal escaping relegation in the Portuguese league.

Setubal who were before Sunday’s game at the bottom of the league needed all the three points at stake to survive the league.

Playing Naval in the final league match on away soil, Setubal were given a bitter pill to swallow when Naval’s player Elivelton got the opener in the ninth minute but Setubal equalized eight minutes later through Auri.

The fans of Setubal who had filled the stadium to see whether there could be a miracle had already lost hope and when Kwame Ayew scored the second goal in the thirty third minute.

Two fans collapsed and had to be rushed to the hospital. Reports from doctors at the hospital say the two are responding well to treatment.

KAyew, who was deeply moved by the news of the fans, says he has sent his sympathy to the fans and has wished them speedy recovery.

On media report that his club has been relegated, Kwame who was shocked by the news advised journalist to cross check their facts before going to public as modern day journalism has moved to a new stage where journalists have be circumspect with their reportage to win the trust of the public .
