Midfielder, Isaac Asare who played a yeoman's game scored a hat-trick to seal the doom of Eagles. After drawing 2-2 at the end of the first half, Schalke 04 came back strongly to score four more goals through outside right Samuel Annan and Joseph Mensah who scored two goals each to bring the full time scores to 6-2 in favour of Schalke 04.
