Adansiman F.C loses 2 administrators

Obuasi, July 1, GNA - Adansiman FC, one of the country's oldest football clubs have recently been hit by deaths of their hardworking administrators, putting the club into deeper crisis. The first to pass away on May 30 was its Accra representative Kofi Atta Amofa following another death two weeks later by Barima Kofi Acheampong, the Club's General Secretary.

The late Acheampong who died after a short illness, is said to have been the General Secretary for over 15 years during which he represented the Club at most of the FA's Disciplinary Committee's sittings. Mr Davasford K. Akowuah, the Club Chairman who briefed the GNA Sports at Obuasi said Acheampong during his time played a leading role in the Club's qualification to the premiership in 2001.

Lamenting on the two deaths, he said the loss of the two perosonalities was going to compound the Club's misfortunes as heavy financial crisis have pushed the Club to the Second Division. Mr Akowuah said the problems confronting Adansiman FC was great and prayed that the football loving community, club administrators, the GFA and all sympathizers would support the Club in giving a fitting farewell to the late Barima Acheampong at Adansi Fomena on Saturday July 4. "I want to appeal to all football loving people, the GFA, club administrators and the general public to come and support Adansiman F.C to give a fitting burial and funeral to our ace general secretary", the Chairman said in a tearful mood."
