After calling off the bluff of Real Tamale United in an emphatic 0-4 win away at the dreadful Tamale Stadium on Wednesday during the GLO Premier League 14th week fixture, King Faisal’s Chief Executive officer, Vincent Odotei-Sowah says all is well with him and the club’s hierarchy and under no circumstance did he decide to turn his back on the club when they were in turbulence.
Reports in the Ghanaian press alleged the former Hearts of Oak boss was set to be given his marching orders from the club’s owner Alhaji Karim Grunsah after abysmal performances from his side saw them rock bottom of the pecking in the league but Vincent Odotei-Sowah affectionately called “OBAMA” says that was never been the case.
“You obviously heard it all wrong because I really enjoy a professional working relationship both on & off the field with (Alhaji) Grunsah despite frantic efforts by our distracters to keep us off-course. There is no bad blood between me and Alhaji Karim Grunsah,” Odotei-Sowah told GHANA FOOTY. “On the other hand, the transition between Steve Pollack and Opeele Boateng didn’t go down well for us (the playing body) and we paid the price for it,”
“It has never been an issue of salary on the players’ path because the players’ home-takes have hugely been double. I believe this (recession) happens in football and King Faisal should be able to fight ahead with this win over R.T.U,” he continued.
King Faisal plays home to Kpando Heart of Lions over the weekend and a second win in a row for the ‘OBAMA’ lads would surely see them singing the ‘Yes we can’ tune for the boys in the green and white colours.
