Sunyani, (B/A) March 2, GNA - The Board of Directors of B.A. United Football Club, a Division One League Club in the Brong Ahafo Region has appointed Mr Ransford Antwi, a Sunyani-based businessman as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Club. The appointment of Mr Antwi, which took effect from Tuesday, March 1, 2011, would run for two football seasons. Dr Samuel Oppong-Yeboah, deputy Board Secretary of the Club in the letter of appointment dated February 25 this year, on behalf of the Board said Mr Antwi has been given the mandate to appoint his own management committee members within a week.

The Board indicated it would, however, have to approve the appointment of the members of the management committee. The Board and the management committee will later join hands to secure a permanent secretariat for the Club, as a matter of policy and good administration, the letter stated.

It said the CEO would be required to meet and brief the standing emergency committee of the Board at the end of every month on the state of affairs of the Club.

"Since football is now business, you are mandated to market and comb for sponsorship for the up-lift and smooth running of the Club as soon as possible", the Board urged the Chief Executive. The Directors appealed to all stakeholders and the media to co-operate and assist the CEO and his team to succeed in achieving their goal.

"Our ultimate mission and vision is for you to lead us to our dreamland that is the premiership", the Board urged the new CEO. Meanwhile GNA Sports has gathered that B.A. United has within the past 10 years had six CEOs.
