Accra, May 10, GNA - The battle for places into the Premier
League begins with the opening matches of the Division One Zonal
Middle League coming off on Friday, May 13.
Zones One and Three will begin the initial process with Zone Two
awaiting for the green-light from the Division One League Board
regarding the commencement of their rivalry.
Zone One is consisted of clubs from the Brong Ahafo, Upper East
and Upper West Regions made up of the participating Clubs of Bechem
United, Unity FC, Guan Stars and Bazooka FC.
They will play their matches in Accra at venues including the
Ohene Djan Stadium, Dansoman Carl Reindorf Park and the Tema Park.
Zone Three is constituted by clubs from the Eastern Region,
Greater Accra and Volta Regions with the participants as Tema Youth,
D'International, Tete Atempong and King Solomon.
The Zone Three matches will be played at the Central and Western
Regions specifically at the Essipong Stadium and the Robert Mensah
Stadium in Essipong and Cape Coast respectively.
According to the fixtures released by the Division One League
Board, copped to GNA Sports, Zone One will open the campaign on
Friday, May 13, with Bechem United facing Unity FC at the Ohene Djan
Stadium whilst Guan United engages Bazooka FC at the Tema Stadium.
The Clubs will engage each other on a round-robin basis with the
top placed Club qualifying for the Premier Division.
The best three clubs will replace the demoted clubs at the end of
the ongoing Glo Premier League.
