Ghana attacker David Accam crowned his Black Stars call-up with marvellous match-winning curler for Helsingborg IF in their 1-0 win over newly-promoted Brommapojkarna in the Swedish Allsvenskan on Monday night.
The 23-year-old went into the game at Grimsta IP in strong mood after he was named in Ghana’s provisional 26-man squad for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, and he advertised another glistening display – sensationally scoring a sumptuous goal to hand victory to Helsingborg and end their win-less run in the league.
Brommapojkarna held the visitors for the best of the game including the entire first-half and the early stages of the second department, but one brilliant move, the attacker broke their front-line and ensured they ended the game empty-handed.
Brazilian midfielder Álvaro Santos shot a cross field pass at him and he controlled it with a measure dazzling twists and turns to outwit his marker before sending home an unstoppable drive past Ivo Vazgec, the hosts’ Goalkeeper for his 6th goal of the campaign, and 12 this season.
