Burkina Faso international goalkeeper Abdoulaye Soulama has spoken about what forced him out of Asante Kotoko by saying he did not feel part of the team anymore.
The 34-year-old has since signed for rival club Hearts of Oak and joined the enviable list of players to have played for both domestic giants.
Soulama was first choice goalkeeper for the Porcupine Warriors in their first of the hat-trick league titles but fell down the pecking order behind Isaac Amoako and Joseph Addo.
He says it is important that every player feels a sense of belonging in a team. “My time in Kotoko was memorable because i won a lot there,” the 34 year old told GHANASoccernet.com.
“But like everything it came to a point i noticed i was so involved and for me that is very important to me.
“Every player has his limits and for me playing is always important for me, i feel you have to belong to be able to give off your best.”
