Footy-ghana.com has gathered that Feyernoord striker Elvis Manu has reported an unnamed individual to the Ghana Football Association for attempting to extort money from him.

According to our sources, the unnamed individual, who is the former Chief Executive of one of Ghana’s Premier League clubs, approached Manu and asked the striker to pay him 10,000 euros to ensure that he gets picked for the senior national team, the Black Stars.

Footy-ghana.com understands that the development has displeased the GFA hierarchy, especially as efforts are underway to get Manu to change his citizenship in order to play for the Black Stars instead of the Netherlands national team.

Our sources reveal that the unnamed individual is a current member of the Local Black Stars management committee and has taken money for similar purposes in the past.

Footy-ghana.com can confirm that the same individual took $15,000 from the guardian of Germany-based Philemon Ofosu Ayeh a few years ago, with the promise to get the full back into the Black Satellites; a promise that wasn’t fulfilled.
