Lawrence Aidoo will be playing for 2.Bundersliga side FC Nuremberg when the German season starts later this month.
The 21-year-old signed an 18-month contract with an option to buy at the end of the loan period which will last until June 2005. The promotion chasers also have the option to make the deal permanent should the African impress sufficiently. Nurnberg will have to pay around €300,000 (?200,000) for the striker.
His current club, Borussia M?nchengladbach, confirmed this on Friday evening at the Spanish resort, Marbella, where they are engaged in a pre-season tournament.
Aidoo had lost his first-team place under Gladbach's new coach Holger Fach in recent months and will now attempt to help Nurnberg secure an instant return to the Bundesliga after last season's relegation.
