Ghana striker Abdul Majeed Waris climbed off the bench to provide assist for Lorient FC in their 2-1 over Sochaux Montbilliard in the French Ligue 2.
Waris has failed to reproduce his last season's scintillating form for the Lorient in the aftermath of his botched move to English Premier League side West Ham.
The 26-year-old however, produced a swashbuckling performance in their victory against Sochaux after coming on for Gael Danic in the 64th minute as he provided a sublime assist for Lindsay Rose to power home the winning goal in the 87th minute.
Lorient had fallen behind in the 55th minute through Florian Martin before Gabonese international Denis Bouanga leveled the score line for Coach Mikael Landreau's outfit in the 81st minute.
The win takes FC Lorient to 3rd on the table with 32 points, nine adrift of league leaders Stade Reims after 18 games.
Meanwhile, Waris' compatriot Lawrence Ati-Zigi warmed the bench for Sochaux.
