Striker Richmond Boakye-Yiadom has blamed the early exit of coach Fabio Capello for his unsuccessful spell at Chinese Super League side Jiangsu Sunning.
The 24-year-old was signed by the Italian trainer but he left the club shortly afterwards.
Boakye feels Capello's absence could be attributed to his poor performance- three goals in 15 appearances-by his own standard.
But he does not regret the decision to have moved to China where he was on a good salary.
''Going to China was a step forward. I consider each step a challenge and lesson. China is behind me, but it remains a lesson,'' Boakye said on his return to Serbian side Red Star Belgrade.
''Not every place can be appealing. It remains regrettable that I did not have the opportunity to cooperate with coach [Fabio] Capello for long.
''Immediately after my arrival, he left the club. He is a great trainer, but I did not have the privilege to learn a lot from him.''
