Bruce Mwape, head coach for the Zambian national female team, has named his final 21-member squad for the African Women’s Championship (AFCON) 2018.
The list includes, three goalkeepers, eight defenders, five midfielders and five strikers.
Zambia, who are based in Group B, alongside defending champions Nigeria, South Africa and Kenya, would move to camp in Cote D' Ivoire on 8th November, they seek to put finishing touches to their preparatory plans.
According to coach Mwape, their star player Barbara Banda would join her colleagues in Abidjan before heading to Ghana for the tournament, slated from 17th November to 1st December, 2018.
The three goalkeepers are; Catherine Musonda (Indeni), Hazel Nali (Green Buffaloes), Chiko Nkhoma (Red Arrows), with Lushomo Mweemba (Nwazi), Anita Mulenga (Green Buffaloes) Margaret Belemu (Red Arrows), Martha Tembo (Green Buffaloes), Jacqueline Nkole (Indeni), Agness Musase (Green Buffaloes), Vast Phiri (Zesco), and Grace Zulu (Indeni) making up the defece.
The midfield would be marshalled by Mary Mwakapila, Ireene Lungu (Green Buffaloes), Judith Zulu (Green Buffaloes), Hellen N. Chanda (Red Arrows), and Avell Chitundu (Zesco).
Hellen Mubanga (Red Arrows), Grace Chanda (Zesco), Lubandji Ochumba Oseke (Nkwazi), Racheal Kundanaji (Indeni), and Barbara Banda (EDF Logroño, Spain), would complete the team as strikers.
