Juventus gaffer Massimilano Allegri has heaped praises on Ghana international Kwadwo Asamoah following his superb performance for the Bianconerris in their 2-1 away win over Tottenham Hotspur in the UEFA second-round game.
The versatile Asamoah replaced Blaise Matuidi in the 60th minute and was a delight to watch on the left wing as his attacking play caused problems for the Spurs defenders.
Allegri pointed out that he needed someone to do the damage on the left wing and he decided to bring in the former Udinese man though he has always been underestimated.
“I needed someone who could dribble on the left flank, so I brought in Asamoah who I believe is an underrated player and he did the job perfectly,” Allegri stated after the game
“I also brought in Lichsteiner to re-energize the right-flank. The players are the ones who earned the win, merit belongs to them,”
Asamoah has been a revelation for Juventus this season and has been used in various positions in which he has excelled.
