Ghana star David Accam is angling for a potential summer exit from the MLS club Chicago Fire, reports claim.
The 26-year-old winger is said to be growing discontent with recent happenings and has asked Fire to consider the multiple offers received from clubs interested in his services so he can leave.
According to reports, the relationship between Accam and his coach Veljko Paunovic is now strained after the latter did not select the former to participate in the MLS All-Star Game.
A transfer request not long after, reportedly led to his surprise omission of the Ghana international’s from the starting lineup in last weekend’s 2-1 loss to New York City.
Losing 2-0, Accam came on in the second half and scored what only turned a consolation for the Fire club. It was his 11th goal of the season.
Chicago Fire travel to face compatriot Latif Blessing’s Sporting KS in the MLS at 00:00 GMT Sunday.
