Ghanaian attacker David Accam struck to earn a point for Chicago Fire as they held Columbus Crew to a 1-1 draw in the opening match of the 2017 MLS season.
Accam, 25, came up against Ghanaian triplets Mohammed Abu, Harrison Afful and Jonathan Mensah and he proved his quality by scoring the equalizer at the MAPFREE Stadium in Ohio.
Ethan Finley had powered Crew into a 17th minute lead and sent the home crowd into wild jubilation.
But Fire returned from the break to level the scoring and steal a point as Accam scored sublime finish.
Both Afful and Mensah finished the game but Mohammed Abu was replaced in the 76th minute, 3 minutes after Accam's equalising goal.
