Striker Asamoah Gyan admits he needs to have a vastly improved campaign next season with Kayserispor.
The 32-year-old could only manage 12 league games last term in an injury-plagued season.
This was a far cry in previous seasons, especially during his early years with Al Ain where he emerged goal king three times in the four season spent in the gulf.
And with reports flying of his club looking to offload him due to such a poor season, Gyan concedes he will need to have a big campaign next term to bring his career back on track.
“This season will be one of the important seasons [in my career],”he said.
“I didn’t have a good season last term so it is important for me to be ready for this coming season.
“I have to be physically ready and all so this will be an important season.”
