Ghana’s Latif Blessing featured for Sporting Kansas City as they thumped Minnesota United FC on Saturday at the Children Mercy Park.
Th former Liberty Professionals striker had 75 minutes of game time as he was replaced by Daniel Salloi in the latter stages of the game.
The diminutive Ghanaian attacker dazzled the home fans in his eight appearance of the season having missed narrowly from the target after wonderful bicycle kick in the early minutes of the game. Ikenna Ike Opara opened the scoring for the home side with a 35 yards banger on the stroke of halftime, Jimmy Medranda doubled the lead for Sporting KC in the 54th minute with Saad Abdul-Salam sealing an emphatic victory for the home side.
However, Blessing was left out Ghana’s squad for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Ethiopia next week as well the upcoming friendlies against Mexico and USA.
