Malmo FF have officially begun proceedings to collect the 1.5 million Euros they used to buy Kingsley Sarfo from Sirius IF back.
The former Swedish champions are arguing that Sarfo’s former club Sirius IF knew he was a rapist but they went ahead and sold him to them after which the Ghanaian was apprehended after just a year and sent to jail.
Malmo are now demanding that Sirius refund their money back to them as they did not benefit from the player.
“This is a process where we should not disclose the content of what we think and what we have said in this process” MFF’s Anders Pålsson told fotbollskanalen.
” Hopefully this judgment will come this fall. When we know more, we will inform about it.
Currently, Malmö FF, Sirius IF and the Swedish Football Association have all appointed representatives for the case as the Europa League campaigners fight for their back
Malmo also want to collect all the bonuses and signing on fee they paid to Kingsley Sarfo who is currently serving a two-year jail term for rape.
The 23-year-old Ghanaian midfielder was found guilty by a Swedish court last year for forcibly having sex with kids below the age of 18.
