Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey is expected to be named in CAF’s best eleven for 2019.
The list which will come out this (Tuesday) evening will have the Atletico Madrid player who has been in fine form for club and country.
Partey made a total of 42 appearances in all competitions for the Rojiblancos last season scoring thrice and providing six assists whilst he has been instrumental this campaign too playing eighteen times, scoring twice and providing one assist.
The Ghanaian also featured in all of Ghana’s 2019 AFCON games scoring one goal as the Black Stars reached the second round.
Currently, the 26-year-old is the best African central midfielder playing at a top level and he looks set to make the CAF team of the year list after voting by all national team players on the continent.
Partey has been a dominant figure in the CAF team of the year in recent years and has appeared in the last two editions.
