Ghana international Richmond Boakye Yiadom is on his way to China after Chinese club Jiangsu Suning agreed terms with Red Star Belgrade for his release.
The ambitious Chinese club are in the market looking for a forward to replace Brazilian forward Alex Teixeira who has tended in a transfer request after serious racial abuse by fans.
Boakye is the first option transfer target of Jiangsu and now everything is set as he awaits his traveling document to join them.
“Everything is set, both the club and personal terms have been finalized. Boakye applied for Chinese visa today and once he gets it, he will move to China,” A close source to the player told footballmadeinghana.com
“The visa will not take long so hopefully by the end this week or early next week he will be in China”
Boakye has netted 23 goals in 28 games for Red Star Belgrade in all competitions this season and has been their brightest spot.
Jiangsu Suning will lock horns with Guizhou Hengfeng on Sunday March 4 in the Chinese League mopener and Boakye is expected to feature if he is in the country by then.
