Midfielder Seidu Salifu has undergone successful surgery to fix a career-threatening injury.
The 25-year-old went other the knife on Thursday evening.
Saifu has been battling the injury for over a year now.
He sustained the injury just days before Ghana’s participation at the 2017 WAFU Cup of Nations on home soil.
The former Club Africain man has since suffered several setbacks in his attempt to make a full recovery leading to the need to undergo surgery which has now been declared successful.
It is, however, unclear how long the former Ghana U20 star will be out for.
Salifu last played actively for Turkish club Ümraniyespor in 2017 but has since left the club and is now unattached.
