BIOGRAPHY OF AGRIPAH OPOKU
Agripah Opoku, was born to Mr. Kweku Poku and Mrs DoraOsei Poku in Kumasi in 1992.
He started his primary and junior high schoool education at StJoseph school in Kumasi.He continued
to Toase Senior High School and rose to become the seniorboys Prefect after occupying several
positions in the school. He proceeded to the Kwame
Nkrumah University Of Science And Technology
for his tertiary education and obtained a BA Degree in
Political Studies.
He was the Vice President of the College of Arts and Socialscience now the College of Humanities and
Social science, the Vice President and the welfare Committeechair of KNUST Student Representatives
Council for 2013,2014 and 2015 respectively.
He had his national service with Ghana Revenue Authority
.Then proceeded to work with Ecobank
Ghana as a stock broker for MTN on their floating shares andlater worked with Ghana Forestry
Commission. In 2019 he travelled to the UK and worked as astock manager with Selfridges,he went
ahead and pursued a course on security intelligence until Hereturn to Ghana to contest for a District
Assembly Elections.
He has a master of Arts degree in Public Administration andcurrently studying Law in Kwame Nkrumah
University of Science and Technology and part of Senator
Law Students Association-KNUST.
He is mentored by many outstanding personalities,significantof them is Rev S. Y Maxwell,his father
in the Lord, who is also the Head Pastor of the UniquegraceChapel International. Agripah Opoku has been in the churchsince it
inception. He also doubles as an administrator and First Vicepresident of Unique Men.
Agripah Opoku is a conference speaker and the founder of
Centre For Youth Development (CYD),an
NGO empowering and impacting communities through
leadership training, mentoring, seminars and
donations.
Agripah Opoku presently serves as the Assembly member for the North Suntreso electoral area. He holds positions on various committees within the Bantama Sub Metropolitan Assembly in Kumasi, including Environmental, Development Planning, Revenue Mobilization, and Finance and Administration. Previously, he chaired the NUGS Sponsorship Committee in 2022 and 2023. Currently, he heads the Pre-tertiary Education Committee. His dedication to community development earned him an honorary award as Best Community and Social Developer of the Year. Notable initiatives include contributing to the Health and Security Drive in Tongu Schools and organizing BECE community mock exams for eleven schools in his constituency, aligning with NUGS' vision to make education accessible. He also distributed mathematical sets to BECE candidates and led a 'feed the street' drive for the less privileged. Mr. Opoku's commitment to serving his community stems from his strong faith and desire to positively impact his generation.
