A university student nabbed by the police for allegedly defiling a 9-year-old girl

Ogbeide Joshua, a 21-year-old from Ozalla, Edo State, who is enrolled in Ambrose All University's Business Administration program, was arrested for allegedly defiling a 9-year-old child in Ekpoma for the fourth time.

The source claims that Joshua Ogbeide visited the store where he usually purchases cigarettes on November 25, 2024, to smoke as usual.

The shopkeeper discovered him defiling her 9-year-old daughter in the evening. When some neighbors learned of it, they immediately confronted the rapist, but he didn't even show regret; instead, he spoke back at them.

The mother was left speechless. When the police arrived at his lodge after receiving a report about him, they were unable to locate him.

An hour or so later, a neighbor spotted the rapist attempting to flee to his village, Ozalla, and alerted the other neighbors, who gathered and held him until they could call the police, who then took him to the station.

The young girl claimed that this was the fourth time he had raped her and that he had threatened to kill her if she ever told anyone about it.
