Three men apprehended in relation to the possession of human parts

Three suspects have been taken into custody by Lagos State police in relation to the possession of human parts, particularly suspected tongues.

During a routine stop-and-search operation on the Otedola Bridge on October 15, 2024, the Rapid Response Squad's agents apprehended the suspects, Isah Amohullahi 30, and Abubakar Isah 32, respectively.

The suspects were discovered in a taxi with the body parts, according to SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the Lagos State Command's Police Public Relations Officer, who verified the arrests on Tuesday.

He claimed that additional inquiries resulted in the arrest of Gbolahan Temidayo, the person from whom the tongues were purportedly bought, in Oyingbo Market, Lagos.

In a statement, Hundeyin confirmed the arrests and said the case was being investigated. "The investigation is still going on at the command headquarters, and the suspects will face charges in court if they are found to be at fault," he stated
