Actress Patricia Osei Boateng has been arrested by police following allegations that she aided her late husband, suspected robbery gang leader Eric Duku, in evading law enforcement.
According to reports, Patricia is alleged to have assisted Duku by disguising herself as a nurse in order to help him bypass police checkpoints during his criminal operations. Investigators believe the tactic may have enabled the gang to move freely across several regions without raising suspicion.
Eric Duku was reportedly the leader of a notorious robbery syndicate linked to multiple armed robbery and car-snatching incidents across the Ashanti, Bono, and Western Regions. His activities are said to have caused widespread fear among residents and motorists in affected areas.
Duku was shot and killed during an exchange of gunfire with police after one of the robbery operations. Authorities described the confrontation as intense, bringing an end to what they claim was a long-standing criminal spree.
Following the arrest of four suspects connected to the murder of Andrews Amankwa — who was fatally shot during a robbery at Ohwim Tigo Junction in Kumasi — police intensified their investigations. This reportedly led to the manhunt and subsequent arrest of Patricia Osei Boateng.
Police have not yet released a full statement detailing the charges she may face, but investigations are ongoing.
The swift action by law enforcement has drawn praise from sections of the public, with many commending the police for their efforts in dismantling the alleged criminal network.
Further updates are expected as the case develops.
