A Mother’s Day broadcast of Spectacle, GTV’s entertainment programme, turned into a powerful call for media reform, as industry icons Pascaline Edwards and Akosua Agyapong urged journalists to uphold integrity and fairness.

The two legends criticized bloggers and online platforms for chasing engagement rather than truth, warning that reputations are being unfairly damaged. Pascaline revealed she now keeps her private life away from the media to maintain peace, citing mistrust in current reporting practices.

The programme, which airs on Ghana Television, also celebrated excellence in Ghana’s creative industry, blending recognition with a strong message: ethical journalism must be restored.
