Popular Ghanaian pastor, Prophet Bernard Adzraku, Pastor of ECG The Jesus Nation Church in Ho, has revealed a spiritual vision suggesting that Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Christian Tetteh Yohuno, will receive a contract extension from President John Dramani Mahama—despite being due for mandatory retirement in December 2025.

The IGP, who was appointed in March 2025, is expected to retire on December 27, 2025, when he turns 60, the compulsory retirement age for civil servants .

Public discussions have intensified over who might succeed him as his retirement date approaches.

However, according to Prophet Adzraku, the IGP will not retire as expected.

Speaking during a prayer retreat on a mountain—where he and his church members interceded for the nation, its leadership, and its security—the prophet said he received a clear spiritual revelation concerning the future of the police chief.

“I saw in the spirit that President Mahama had approved a contract extension for the Inspector-General of Police, Christian Tetteh Yohuno,” he said.

Prophet Adzraku explained that while praying for the country’s security, the Lord revealed that the IGP’s continued presence was crucial.

“President Mahama’s security system needs to be on a high level, and because of that, there’s a personality God has blessed in His heart—and that is Christian Tetteh Yohuno. We must pray for the extension of his days,” he stated.

He added that as they were about to pray over the matter, he saw spiritually that the IGP had already been granted additional time in office.

“The Lord said it is not political. God has showed him mercy because of the love he has for the president, even though there are many oppositions,” the prophet revealed.

Prophet Adzraku noted that some members questioned the prophecy, reminding him that the IGP was nearing his retirement age.

“Those praying with me said, ‘Man of God, you know he’s going on retirement,’ but I told them this is what God is saying and what I saw in the spirit. It came very clear,” he insisted.

He concluded by saying, “The Lord said it shall come to pass, for new things will happen.”
