The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has unveiled the theme for its 2026 commemoration of the December 31 Revolution as “Consolidating the Reset Agenda: Reflections on the Gains of the 31st December Revolution.”

The event, slated for December 31, 2026, in Ada, will focus on examining the enduring relevance of the revolution and how its ideals align with the party’s current reset agenda and broader governance priorities.

Party officials say the celebration will create a platform to assess the gains of the 1981 revolution and situate its principles within Ghana’s contemporary national development efforts. Discussions are expected to highlight how the values of social justice, accountability and participatory governance continue to inform the NDC’s vision for the country.

The NDC noted that the anniversary will not only honour the historical legacy of the revolution but also reinforce the party’s commitment to translating those ideals into policies and programmes aimed at inclusive growth and national transformation.
