The Ghana Police Service has launched a manhunt for Kumawood actress and entrepreneur Patricia Osei Boateng following the arrest of four suspects in connection with the robbery and murder of Andrews Amankwa.

Mr. Amankwa was fatally shot during a robbery incident at Ohwim Tigo Junction in Kumasi.

According to a report shared by Crime Check on Facebook and sighted by GhanaWeb on February 26, 2026, the actress is alleged to be the wife of a suspected armed robbery gang leader known as Duku. Duku was reportedly shot dead during an exchange of gunfire with police officers after the robbery.

Police sources cited in the report claim that Patricia Osei Boateng is believed to have assisted the suspect in evading law enforcement. It is alleged that she helped him pose as a nurse to avoid police checks. The report further claims she may have travelled to Dubai following some of the alleged criminal activities.

Authorities have not publicly confirmed details regarding her current whereabouts but say efforts are ongoing to locate and question her as part of the investigation.

Four Arrested in Connection With Murder

The Inspector-General of Police, Christian Tetteh Yohuno, confirmed on Monday, February 23, 2026, that four suspects had been arrested in connection with the robbery and killing.

He stated that immediately after the case was reported, a special investigative team was formed, comprising the Ashanti Regional Commander, the Regional Intelligence Team, the Anti-Robbery Unit, and the Cyber Vetting and Enforcement Team of the CID Headquarters.

The first major breakthrough reportedly occurred on February 18, 2026, with the arrest of Akwesi Manu, who was allegedly found in possession of the deceased’s Samsung mobile phone.

Mr. Amankwa was identified in reports as the father-in-law of Sammy Gyamfi.

Police say investigations remain ongoing and have urged the public to volunteer any credible information that could assist in the case.

Authorities have not indicated whether formal charges have been filed against Patricia Osei Boateng, and she remains a wanted person for questioning as investigations continue.
