Ghanaian musician Yaw Siki has opened up about his past, shedding light on his early encounters with alcohol and later curiosity about marijuana.

Speaking in a recent interview on Daybreak Hitz, the former hiplife artiste revealed that his experience with alcohol began much earlier than many might expect. According to him, he started drinking while still in junior high school, long before entering senior high.

He explained that, at the time, the habit was not influenced by music or any particular lifestyle trend but was simply part of his early environment and exposure.

However, his interest in weed came later during his senior high school years. He attributed this curiosity largely to the influence of hip-hop culture, which he closely followed growing up. He noted that many of the artists he admired frequently referenced marijuana in their music, which gradually sparked his desire to experiment.

Despite this, he was quick to draw a distinction between the two experiences, emphasizing that his alcohol use and interest in weed came from different influences.

Now reflecting on those formative years, Yaw Siki indicated that these experiences have played a role in shaping his outlook on life and the choices he makes today.
