In an era where financial hardship continues to weigh heavily on many households, the Triumphant Christian Center – Pokuase Branch (Covenant Temple) is turning its attention to a long-neglected area within church communities: financial literacy.
For years, members of many congregations have been known to prioritize their spiritual lives at the expense of their financial well-being. This has left sections of the Christian community, particularly in Africa, grappling with poverty and limited economic opportunities. Leaders at the Triumphant Christian Center believe this imbalance must be corrected if members are to live out God’s full mandate of exercising dominion on earth.
“Too often, Christians know how to pray but not how to plan financially. The result is a congregation that is spiritually rich but materially poor,” noted Rev. Stephen Nti Aniakwaah, who is spearheading the new initiative. “It is time to change this narrative. Financial literacy is as important as spiritual growth because both are necessary for holistic living.”
To address this gap, the church is organizing a Mentorship Seminar on *Sunday, September 7, 2025, at 2 PM GMT. Themed _“Building the Next Generation Today – Financial Literacy,”*_ the seminar will take place at *Pokuase, near Ampax Hotel, off Nsawam Accra Road.*
The program will feature two speakers: Mr. Sarfoh Danquah and Mr. Edmund Gyamfi, who will share insights on how to make, manage, and keep money effectively. Their sessions will cover practical topics such as saving, investing, budgeting, and building wealth responsibly.
Organizers say the aim is not only to empower individuals but also to strengthen the church as a whole. A financially empowered congregation, they argue, will be better positioned to support missions, fund community projects, and extend help to the needy.
The seminar is open to the public, and participants can obtain more information by contacting 0554087110 or 0201895498.
With this initiative, the Triumphant Christian Center is setting a new tone for church engagement, one that merges faith with practical financial wisdom to ensure members thrive both spiritually and economically.
