2024 Elections: We don’t know defeat, we will win – NPP

The New Patriotic Party’s National Youth Organiser, Salam Mustapha, says the party expects nothing but a victory in the upcoming general elections.

He said the elephant family expects nothing but for the Electoral Commissioner, who is the returning officer for the presidential election, to declare the party’s candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as the validly elected president.

The young politician made the remarks while addressing a health walk organised by the party on Saturday, September 28, 2024, dubbed the “Bold Solution Walk.”.

He declared that the party knows nothing but victory, and it was their expectation that the EC will announce Dr. Bawumia as the elected president.

“Do not be afraid as we prepare for the upcoming general elections. By the grace of God, the only verdict that will come out of Jean Mensa’s mouth is that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is the validly elected president of the republic. We have a single agenda going into the elections, and that agenda is a win or win. We don’t know defeat.”

He also indicated that the party has demonstrated that it has the numbers and threw a challenge to the opposition to bring it on, and the NPP will face them squarely.

“Let’s send the signal clear. When I say we have the numbers, I mean we have the numbers, and if they (NDC) want to challenge us, then I dare them to bring it on,” he added.

On his part, National Chairman Stephen Ayensu Ntim commended the party members for participating in the health walk.

He said that by this dedication to the walk, Ghanaians will get to know that the party was poised for victory.

“We have done so well and organised the walk so beautifully and made it attractive. Anyone from any part in Ghana will know that the NPP is poised for victory in December. I will have a sound sleep today because you have done so well. This proves that the party’s strategies and plans are being executed as expected.

However, I would also advise that we don’t become complacent. When you look at the number of people who have participated in the exercise or the crowd, it looks as if we’ve won the elections already. But we have a lot of work to do. We have to take the campaigning to polling stations and ensure that we secure the victory we want come December 2024.”
