The management of Wangkang Ceramics Company Limited, one of the biggest producers of ceramic tiles and associated products in Western Region, have assured government of their commitment to expand their operations.
The company, the management said is also ready to adopt measures required to fully implement the 24 hour economic policy of the government.
Chang Hong, General Manager of Wangkang Ceramics Company Limited made this known during an engagement the management had with Western Regional Minister Joseph Nelson on Thursday 13th March 2025.
According to Chang Hong, the ultimate goal of the company, is to increase capacity, increase production, and at the end improve significantly job creation drive.
The Minister, and his entourage visited the company to assess their operational activities, plans, challenges, and prospects.
The General Manager, who was excited with the Minister's visit, assured him of their commitment to establish good working relationship with government.
He disclosed that the company had already established direct working relationship with the Ministry of Finance, and Ministry for Trade, Industry and Agri-business.
These established working relationships, he underscored, is primarily to offer Wangkang Ceramics Company Limited an opportunity to share their experiences, challenges and aspirations with the government.
He assured the government of their preparedness to improve operations, create jobs and and continue to maintain social harmony in the communities within which they operate.
On his part, Western Regional Minister Joseph Nelson, emphasized the importance of establishing clear operational working standards and practices as the operations of the company continues to grow.
He said the expansion drive being anticipated by the company, as indicated by the General Manager, must take into account the 24 hour economic policy the government intends to introduce.
Joseph Nelson also assured the Chinese firm of his commitment to collaborate effectively with them at all times.
He charged the company to build credibility with high operational efficiency and standards so that their stay in the Western Region would continue to impact lives and create decent jobs as they improve their profit windfall as well.
